Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level extension is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level names remained functional.

Through our company, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer code from the current domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular prerequisites on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME universal top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost.
