File Manager
What is a File Manager? How much does it differ from its desktop equivalent?
A File Manager software tool is present in all hosting Control Panels. As the name implies, it's used to manage the files in an account and all File Managers support a range of primary features - browsing, moving, copying and deleting files. Several Control Panels can provide more complex features as well - changing file and folder permissions or creating and unpacking archives. Although files can be uploaded and downloaded using an FTP client, the File Manager is employed far more often, so the easier to use it is, the easier it shall be for you to handle your presence online altogether. The opposite is also true - a File Manager that is not easy to use could make it more irritating and challenging for you to handle the site content, particularly if you lack previous experience.

File Manager in Cloud Web Hosting
The File Manager tool, which is part of our in-house built Hepsia CP, will enable you to administer all of the files which you upload to your
cloud web hosting account without any difficulty. You could move files and entire folders by dragging-and-dropping them in the account. You could upload content in the same manner - pick a file/folder on your computer and drag it to your Internet browser in which the File Manager is loaded. By right-clicking a file or a folder inside your account, you could also access context menus with more advanced options - you'll be able to set up or to unpack an archive, to set up a password-protected area, to alter the UNIX permissions via a web interface or to edit the content with a number of editors without ever leaving the CP – a code editor, an HTML editor or a plain text editor. We have also included help articles and instructional videos, which you may access from the File Manager to learn more about its capabilities.

File Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The File Manager tool, which is an important part of our custom Hepsia website hosting Control Panel, shall give you complete control over your web content and will remove the need of employing third-party apps. If you want to upload a file to your
semi-dedicated server account, you'll simply need to drag-and-drop it, because the File Manager supports uploads, so you shall not need to employ an FTP client anymore. You shall also be able to relocate files and folders in the account just as easily and their structure will be kept unchanged. If you'd like to change the permissions of any file, to create a password-protected area for a domain or a subdomain or to edit a file using a plain text or an HTML editor, you will only need to use the right-click, considering that you may access these functions via right-click context menus - you’ll feel as if you’re working on your personal computer. To make managing your content even easier, you will be able to sort it in ascending or descending order by name, size or last modified date.
